Information about 30th March National Rail Strike

The LMBCL Committee is aware that a national rail strike has been called for the day of the 2023 Lunch, Thursday 30th March 2023.

Whatever we learn in the next few weeks, we will share on this website.

However, we can be absolutely clear that the 2023 LMBCL will take place on 30th March and we will be doing everything we can to ensure that the 2023 Lunch meets the target set by the Lord Mayor.

So, if you have not yet bought your tickets for the 2023 Lunch, please do so and support the UK’s military veterans.

Who you're supporting

The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch is one of the City of London’s biggest fundraisers supporting the veterans of His Majesty’s Armed Forces.

The particular focus of the Lunch is on helping veterans into employment. Our current commitment is to fund veterans through the King Edward VII Hospital's Centre for Veterans' Health and its Pain Management Programme, and Lifeworks programmes. In addition, we support other employment-related initiatives through the three single service charities.

For 2023 the Lunch is continuing to align itself with the employment and employability strand of the Civic and Mayoral strategy ‘A Better City For All’, by providing financial support for veterans to take part:
