We are very sad to announce that the Rifle Run North 2020 event, due to take place on the 20th September 2020, has been cancelled due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
We appreciate how disappointing this news will be and we share that disappointment. This has not been a decision we have taken lightly, but the health and wellbeing of all our wonderful fundraisers, volunteers and staff has been a driving factor.
We have contacted everyone who has signed up with more information and what to do next. Please check your e-mail.
We know that you will all have questions but please do bear with us as we work through the cancellation process. We have put together a FAQ to hopefully answer most of your questions, which can be accessed along the top navigation bar of this page.
Rifle Run South 2021 is currently unaffected.

EVENT CANCELLATION FAQ
Below are answers to the commonly asked questions regarding the cancellation of Rifle Run South.
If your question is not answered below then please do not hesitate to contact us, but please bear with us in this busy time.
What are my options?
You have three options:
- Transfer your registration and fundraising to Rifle Run South 2021. If you would like to take us up on this please e-mail me on email@example.com. Unfortunately we are not in a position to confirm if Rifle Run North will take place in 2021.
Rifle Run South 2021 will take place on the 18th April at E.J. Churchill Shooting Ground in Buckinghamshire.
- Request a refund of your registration fee.
- Donate your registration and fundraising to the Charity. If you choose to do this, as a thank you we would like to offer you a voucher for an hours air-rifling tuition at Catton Hall. This will be sent out by e-mail and be valid for an extended period of time, so you can use the voucher when it is safe to do so.
Why can't you confirm Rifle Run North 2021?
There is a huge amount of uncertainty surrounding running events at the moment. Given the number of event cancellations in 2020 so far we currently do not have the resources to put behind a second Rifle Run in 2021.
Am I entitled to a refund?
Due to the circumstances of this cancellation you are entitled to a full refund, or your registration and fundraising can be left as a donation to the Charity. If you and your donors wish to make your registration and/or donation a donation to the charity at this difficult time then you do not need to do anything else and we are incredibly grateful for your generosity. If you would like to discuss a refund please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, for any fundraising donations to be refunded, the donor themselves will need to get in touch with us directly.
What will be happening next?
The Charity's priority is to continue to provide grants to soldiers, veterans and their families in times of need. We expect an overall increase in the number of requests from support from both individual and from partner charities whose income has been/will be affected by COVID-19.
If you are a soldier or veteran and at any point you have any difficulties, financially or otherwise there is help available. Please visit our grants page for further information.
If after reading through the FAQ’s you still have any other questions or want to chat anything through give us a call on 0207 811 3960 or e-mail email@example.com.

We are delighted to have Buena Vista Entertainments supporting Rifle Run South and Rifle Run North in 2020.
For a third year, Dougie Robertson, one of their comperes/announcers, will be providing his voice to the safety briefings at the start and an enthusiastic welcome back to all of our fabulous fundraisers at Rifle Run North.
Our association with Dougie and Buena Vista Entertainments has been since 2013 at our Scottish event, The Cateran Yomp, where Dougie, as he says “puts the fun into fundraising!”
