No lay in for me!!
Sunday morning, I would be up between 7/8am to take the dog out, I would then make a coffee for me and a tea for my wife and get back in to bed for a lay in, NOT TODAY, after walking the dog I got washed and dressed and took myself off for a litte walk, well that was the plan, my little walk turned in to a 15km walk around my Town, just walking listening to my music lost in my own little world, remembering places I had been as I walked past them, my little walk had turned in to a walk down memory lane, so many places I have been to, so many things I have done in this little town I live in, I enjoyed my walk this morning, and as much as I enjoy a lay in, I feel so much better for just getting out, it does help knowing that I am doing this all for a great cause, and while I remembered, I also took the time to remember why I got myself out of bed early on a Sunday morning, I can give a little of my time for those that gave so much more for us.....
Walked Wife to work in stead of driving
I have logged my first 7.53km for the 100km virtual frontline walk this morning, instead of driving my wife to work as usual, I walked with her, and then back again..
To kick off my training for the Rifle Run next April, I have signed up for a Virtual Frontline Walk, from now until 11th November 2019 I shall be walking a minimum distance of 100km in commemoration of those who fought for us in World War I or II (this will not include any walking at work lol), this is in aid of ABF The Soldiers Charity, here is a link to the event page https://virtualfrontlinewalk.soldierscharity.org/about.html
I'm fundraising for...ABF The Soldiers Charity
On the 5th April 2020, I'm taking part in Rifle Run.
A 10km run if I can shoot straight. I'll take on a 10km cross country course, with three shooting challenges. For every shot I miss I'll have to do a 250m penalty. There are 20 targets to hit in total, so I could be running 15km!
