Cateran Yomp 2020

Yomp 2020

The main aim of this whole adventure is to finally marry Emma after 14 years together.

Why are we doing the yomp? Good question 🤔 It seemed like a good idea at the time 😂

Nah, we both like a bit of a challenge, we both love hillwalking and the ABF is a charity that is close to home for both of us. So we thought why not combine it all, and have a wedding slightly different from the norm, while raising as much money as possible for the ABF.

It's also probably a good idea to start living a little bit healthier than we have been. Eating better food and exercising a lot more is something we should both be doing.

The Yomp will give us a massive incentive to work towards getting into shape for the wedding.

Hopefully, our new healthier lifestyle will continue after the wedding too. We want to be good role models for our two little girls as they grow up. They are more likely to be fit and healthy if we set them a good example.

Being fitter and healthier will also help us to see the girls become adults, get married and have kids of their own some day.

The new healthier lifestyle will probably mean we'll be back to do the yomp time and time again. What better way to celebrate our future wedding anniversaries than to come back and do it all again 😂

I'm fundraising for...

On the 6th-7th June 2020, I am taking part in The Cateran Yomp. A 54-mile hike in 24 hours across rural Perthshire.

It’s going to be tough but it will raise vital funds for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Army's National Charity, providing a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families.

Please give generously, and thank you for your support!
