Why I do itEach year I do the Yomp and it gets a little harder each year as I get older but its important for a number of reason. Firstly as an ex service man myself it make sure I keep fit plus gets me out and about doing some walking. The more important reason is to raise money for the ABF to help ex service personnel or families of the fallen. A growing number of Service personnel need our support, either because they have been injured or have come home with the hidden killers of mentally illness like PTSD. These individuals and their families so, desperately need your support, a support which isn't given by the MOD or the Government, therefore it falls to charities like the ABF to pick up this responsibility, So please donate to help those that have given so much to us all.
I'm fundraising for...
On the 11 -12 September 2021, I am taking part in The Cateran Yomp. A 54-mile hike (Actually 57 if you measure it by proper SatNavs) in 24 hours across rural but in places rather hilly and muddy Perthshire.
It’s going to be tough but it will raise vital funds for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, the Army's National Charity, providing a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families.
Please give generously as every penny you give will help change the life of a veteran or their family that are in need. So thank you for your support!
