The Medicine Ball Challenge

My Updates

Day 7

Day 7…the final day I’m currently sat without the ball and I’m happy to say we made the target would like to thank everyone that has donated and shared posts I honestly couldn’t asks for more…again thanks everyone

Day 6

Today me and the ball had sum fun in the rain bit of green phys a lot of running/tabbing through puddles then in to the day to day life of a metalsmith monthly checks on me kit checking out jobs and booking them in a little welding quite day really. My cuff off the glove got soked on phys so went cuff-less all day wrist regretting it now like

Day 5

Things me and the ball did the day, work (bit of a given) knocked off at lunch to take the car for an MOT in sunny Ashington (my home town) thought whist it was in would do one of the old routes I used to run. All in all was a canny day again…not sure if this make it sound easy but I can say with out a doubt it’s called the med ball challenge for a reason as the week went on I thought I would get used to it like adapt how I did stuff to cope with the ball and tbf with sum things aye but then wham it fall off where eva I’ve put it while I’m grafting an yarks my wrist in the same direction or the kids will be kicking off both wanting picked up and I end up juggling them and the ball!

Day 4

Another day with the ball first phys session cuffed the day spinning and stretching then a little run round the air field (3 mile ish) enjoyed it tbf. Had an interesting chat over fb message with an ex soldier who has struggled with mental health for years (with and without help)…like this started out as making some cash for a cause I fell strongly about that has effected numerous people close to me but it has turned it to a right journey everyday I seem to learn something or question my own thoughts and opinions.

Day 3

First day at work with the ball! Ovs a lot of questions, posing for a pic or two. Chopped the fingers/hand off a leather glove and it’s reduced the chaffing so that was a bit of a win. Big thanks for the support from 3RHA and for the share on their fb and Instagram.

One comment made me really think today it wasn’t said as a joke or sarcasm it felt very real….‘it not heavy enough’

Day 2

I’m in the process of moving so the day was spent sorting the house, getting rid of stuff and sorting me kit for the morn nowt exciting really like! The med ball seem to make everything take twice as long and defo need sumit to reduce the chafing.

Day 1

So me first full day waring the ball. It defo has the desired effect for only being 3k it’s a massive burden and the cuffs have my wrist in clip! My daughter loves the ball I have to stop her trying to kick it any chance she get, got a few funny looks when I was out with the kids and the dog not every day ya see some one chained to a med ball but no one asked…again thanks to everyone that donated so far👍🏻

Got the ball!

Wey the ball arrived the day thanks to the Royal Mail. My daughter (2.5 years) has had a good play with it dragging it round the house, but it time to get cuffed in…not sure what to really write tbf…spose I’ll try and do one of these a day let any one that reads it know what I got up 2. Thanks for everyone that’s sponsored me so far…emm aye that bout it for now!
