I'm taking part in the Frontline Walk: The Western Front. I'll be trekking 100km following in the footsteps of those who fought on the Somme and Passchendaele battlefields during the First World War.
I'll be doing this to commemorate the sacrifices made by those who fought in WWI whilst helping to support the soldiers and veterans of today.
On a personal note I have had two major back operations and this walk will be a huge physical challenge for me but I am determined to finish. Also a close family member did two tours of Afghanistan and made me realise first hand how much they sacrifice to keep us safe. I am doing it for all soldiers past present and future.
I intend to pay my own travel costs so any money I raise goes direct to the charity.
The ABF The Soldiers' Charity, the National Charity of the British Army is a great cause. They support soldiers, veterans and their families when they need it most.
